We asked if you remembered any if the other businesses, besides The Book Case and Café Wilgress, that were in this building. Here’s what you said:

 

Martha Watson: Lawyer (Judge? ) Mahaffey had his law office there (1940s or maybe before and certainly after ). As a child I remember he had a talking crow!

Kate Fisher: Real estate agency – Andrew Bulloch I think

Peggy Hurley: I used to live above an Insurance business in this building. It was a great apartment overlooking the town bridge. The lower left side was used as our garage.

And some of you were nostalgic for the bookstore:

Carly Chow: This was my favourite store in Huntsville growing up. It had the best little finds upstairs!

Matuesz Wilczynski: Miss it :'(

Maria MacCormack: I miss this place. It was the loveliest little bookshop.
