September 25, 1938 – July 23, 2025
With deep love and sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Alex Miller on July 23, 2025, at home, surrounded by love and the quiet comfort he cherished most.
A man of intellect and quiet strength, Alex lived with humility, dignity, and a deep devotion to those he loved. As an engineer and lifelong learner, he approached life and its end with thoughtful care and courage.
Never one for fanfare, Alex touched lives through his wisdom, kindness, and steady presence. His legacy lives on in the thoughtful choices he made and the quiet support he offered to so many.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, with his heart rooted most deeply in his love for his wife, Janice. Together they shared a beautiful marriage built on respect, shared interests, and an unwavering bond. They did everything together.
To his daughter, Cheryl Perry, he was a steady champion and source of strength. Their love, often unspoken, ran deep and proud. He was also deeply grateful for his son-in-law, Mitch, whose quiet support brought him peace and comfort.
His greatest joy came from being a grandfather to Ryan (Kylee) and Scott. Watching them grow filled him with pride and happiness. His love for them was steadfast and enduring.
Alex was the eldest of two siblings: Velma Olynik (predeceased) and Marilyn Harwood.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service. The family invites you to honour Alex in the quiet, thoughtful ways he lived through love, kindness, and care for others. Donations, if desired, can be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.
He will be missed beyond words and remembered beyond measure.

Our deepest sympathies Cheryl and family. We met your Dad many years ago when they first moved to the area. He was classy and professional. We enjoyed our chats and business interactions with him and your Mom. May you be comforted by the legacy he left and the memories you treasure.

Cheryl and family, sending thoughts and love at this difficult time. 🤗🙏🏻💞
Alex built our first home in Huntsville 32 years ago. It all started when we dropped in to see his Lindal model home on the highway. We quickly became close friends with Alex and Janice. Charlotte and I will miss him immensely.
They were a lovely couple, they walked miles together.
My thoughts are with you at the difficult time.

Alex was a good man. I always enjoyed working with Alex during his time in the real estate business. He went about his business quietly, but was a true professional, kind and honest, He took pride in doing things the right way. My condolences to the family.
