I Got You Babe held its soft opening on Saturday, June 24 at 1 King William Street in Huntsville.
The business is the brainchild of Jessica Hooper. Originally from Toronto, when Jessica moved to the community and started her own family she noticed a distinct lack of maternity clothing as well as things for babies such as gifts, clothing, and bedding. “So we decided to open our own store,” she said, adding that the response has been amazing.
Jessica, who has been planning for the business for the past two years, said everything seemed to come together in the last month. She said it’s been a hectic time but she’s excited.
Her business is filling a niche in the area by carrying affordable items for both expectant moms and babies. Items include maternity clothing, baby clothing, first birthday outfits and party supplies, baby shower supplies, crib bedding sets, and giftware.
She said if someone is looking for special items they can call, email, or message the business through Facebook. “We’re here for you,” said Jessica who plans an official opening for I Got You Babe sometime in September.
