Huntsville PokéParty

There’s a PokéParty coming to downtown Huntsville

The Huntsville Public Library and the BIA have teamed up to host a PokéParty on August 11 from 11 AM – 2 PM in the downtown core. Come and explore our beautiful downtown, have the chance to win some great prizes and of course get out and catch ‘em all.

Participating players can pick up a PokéPassport from the Huntsville Public Library beginning at 11 AM. Players will then travel to select downtown businesses where they can get their PokéPassport stamped. Completed PokéPassports can be dropped off at the Library where they will be entered into a draw for a gift card to the Downtown merchants. There will also be prizes awarded for the rarest Pokémon caught and the most creative picture of a Pokémon capture shared with the Library on Facebook or Twitter. Don’t forget the hashtag
#PokéMuskoka to enter into the contest!

There is no cost to take part in the event and it’s a great way to socialize, make new friends and have some fun in our great town. Pokémon Go is a free app that players can download to their devices. It uses participant’s real-world location and augmented reality on the mobile screens to show these cute pocket monsters in the real world.

Why would they hold it midweek when most people are working and can’t take their kids. Gravenhurst held theirs on the weekend and it was busy.
