Be hard to identify I think probably from our of town have to go province wide or larger
Honest journalism.
No doubt Mr Hajas, many South Asian males are good and empathetic people, like we all are. It’s this lack of ability of the justice system to deal with this sort of crime that’s so frustrating. Police (respect) are constantly being quoted as arresting the same person over and over. Criminals know it and take advantage, just saying that penalties should be higher and if you came to this country for a better life and then proceed to make everyone elses worse, you should be deported after serving the sentence.
Was somebody asleep at the door? I am impressed with how clear the pictures are.
To the Editor:
In response to recent letters:
To Mr. Zolard: Huntsville has always required us to lock up our valuables. That’s hardly new.
To Mr. Cliffe: We are not “like Toronto” now, unless what you mean is that we’ve become a little more culturally diverse.
To Mr. Reuvekamp: Your letter sounds more like Donald Trump than a neighbour in Muskoka, blaming people long out of the picture for crime, style choices, or speech you don’t like.
And to anyone else tempted to weigh in with racist tropes, let me offer a few real images:
A South Asian male, about 25–30 years old, tenderly washing the face of an elderly dementia patient, speaking softly and kindly.
A South Asian RN, patiently answering the same question 50 times a day with respect and calm.
A South Asian caregiver, rushing to comfort a family member in tears, sharing words of encouragement and stories of his homeland.
A South Asian woman, working into her own time to fill out reams of paperwork so a distressed patient can access extra care.
A team of young South Asian men, working long hours in a cramped space to replace a broken furnace and air conditioner in the middle of a humid stretch.
I am not claiming every South Asian person is an angel. But in my experience, they have been unfailingly compassionate, competent, and hardworking. And they are certainly no more “devilish” than the white, local thieves whose images appear regularly on security cameras. And when they are apprehended, they will be dealt with legally and appropriately; and if not, then we need to advocate for a change to the laws.
When we talk about crime in Huntsville, let’s be honest: race has nothing to do with it. What matters, and what should matter to us as neighbours, is how we treat one another, with decency, fairness, and gratitude.
WE SHOULD HAVE CASTLE LAW FOR STORES
Long ago when I worked in drug store, we had uncover store security. They would follow people out of the store and grab them. Home Depot needs a few uncover security guards who can work together to grab these people. If thieves steal, guards should be allowed to grab them and detain them. There needs to be consequences to deter this bad behaviour. Why do we allow it? Our criminal system is too soft.
Why would the Doppler allow a garbage comment that Greg whatever his name is make ?
As for the theft. Did Bells and horns not go off when leaving the store ?
These shameless villians were aided and abetted by a fifth person. His description is as follows: 6′ 2″, approx 170 lbs, speaks incomprehensible virtue signalling garbage interspersed with “umms” and “ahhs”, often seen wearing painted blackface, current girlfriend of noted washed up pop star Katy Perry.
Buckle up folks because it’s going to take Carney a very long time to undo the damage that Trudeau has done to Canada. This crime wave is a symptom of just one of the many ways Trudeau significantly broke things. It’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
Pretty pathetic that we have to lock everything up in huntsville now.
Huntsville’s in the big time league now! Just like Toronto!
Are we politically correct in saying “South Asian Male”?
If our OPP do arrest these gentlemen some judge will have them
back on the street in under 24 hours?
What does the future hold?
