Huntsville man punches bank employee in the face, turns himself in

A Huntsville man unhappy with his bank took it out on an employee, a Bracebridge court heard recently.

Keith Oldfield, 72, pled guilty to assault stemming from an incident that occurred on June 20, 2023.

The court heard Oldfield went to close an account at a bank in Huntsville. When he was told there was a hold on the account he became upset and started yelling and swearing at the staff. The situation escalated and Oldfield punched a bank employee in the face.

Oldfield subsequently attended the Huntsville OPP detachment and turned himself in.

The court heard he has no previous criminal record and was given a conditional discharge and six months of probation.

Imagine working your whole life, being 72, Going to your bank and have some smart ace tell you “no”. I’d swing too lol 😆 I hope he pulled all his cash from that bank and never goes back.

In reply to. Mr. Beatty ….RELAX!
At least he took responsibility, more than most do these days..

There should be court ordered damages to the employee who suffered the attack and all local banks should deny service to this adult behaving in this disgusting manner. The old boy can reinstate his piggy bank and when he can ‘t retrieve his cash , smash it when he has a tantrum !
