Amidst the crowd cheering on today’s World Junior Hockey Championships in Helsinki, Finland, some Huntsville residents will be raising the Canadian flag high and proud when Team Canada faces off against home team Finland.
“We are having an amazing time so far,” wrote Rebecca Francis, in Finland with husband Chris Near and friends Kristin and Phil Adams. “Finnish people are some of the nicest. The crowd at the games is more than 50 per cent Canadians so lots of people to cheer with and a pretty great energy in the building. An amazing experience!!”
Barb Bloomfield is also there along with husband Phil. “We are having a blast,” she wrote.
Fans can watch the quarter-final game action on TSN 4 starting at 10:30 am EST (the puck drops at 11:00 am).
