Huntsville Council will hold a special meeting on Dec. 3 to revisit Gandhi statue donation

The Town of Huntsville is advising that Huntsville Council will hold a special council meeting on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. to discuss Huntsville Council’s decision to accept the Mahatma Gandhi Statue donation from the Consulate General of India.

    If Ghandi was asked about having a Statue of himself displayed Anywhere, what would he say?
    MY belief, what I feel from his years of human acceptance, is “No”.

    Hmmm..The Town woke up! Special council meeting Wednesday at eleven am to discuss the matter.
    Maybe Council can simplify things…. There will be no more “statues” of any kind accepted or erected by the Town. The K.I.S.S. solution.
