The annual Puddle Jump, Pancake Breakfast and Dress Up Day hits the slopes of Hidden Valley Highlands this weekend.
On Saturday, March 25 Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area and the Muskoka Ski Club will host its annual Puddle Jump and Pancake and Dress Up Day. All ticket holders are welcome to take part in a complimentary Pancake Breakfast served up slopeside on the Deck starting at 9 am. The theme for Dress Up Day is “Canadiana Costumes” in honour of Canada’s 150. There will also be live music on the Deck from local artist Christine Heron.
At 1 pm the main event kicks off with the Puddle Jump! Cheer on skiers and boarders as they try to make it across a pool of ice cold water while wearing crazy costumes. If you’re brave enough to try it yourself, register for FREE at 9 am at Customer Service. Wear your craziest costume and don’t forget to bring a change of clothes! Participants must have a valid lift ticket or pass and must sign a waiver (parent or guardian required if under 18 years). Parent/Guardian of participants 13 years and under must speak with Andrew, Cora or Courtney before registering. Everyone is welcome to come out and watch!
At 2:30 pm Algonquin Outfitters is taking over the Terrain Park for the last Comp of the season. It’s a rail-jam format and there are multiple age categories for both skiers and snowboarders! Registration is at the Customer Service Desk and starts at 1 pm. Participants must have a valid lift ticket or pass and must sign a waiver (parent or guardian required if under 18 years).
