Congratulations to Carolyn Yungblut, a Grade 12 student from HHS, who will advance to the provincial finals for the Royal Canadian Legion’s Speech Contest in Toronto on Saturday, May 4th, 2024.
For those who have been following this story, her quest continues.
On April 20th, Carolyn competed at the Legion’s Semi-Final Speech Contest in Shelburne. There were two other contestants in the Senior Division (Grades 10-12), a finalist from Division C and D, and Carolyn finished first overall as a Division E competitor. Speeches in the Senior Division ranged from 5-7 minutes. Carolyn was happy to have had the support of her family last Saturday as she presented her speech on “Fitness and Wellness.” She is also thankful for having her high school and community of Huntsville cheering her on.
Good luck to Carolyn as she competes against three other finalists on May 4th!
