Gravenhurst woman convicted of multiple LCBO thefts

A Gravenhurst woman was in a Bracebridge courtroom recently to plead guilty to multiple counts of theft.

Lynsey Forget, 38, pleaded guilty to breaching her probation and two counts of theft stemming from two separate incidents.

Court heard that on Feb 22, 2025 the OPP were contacted by the LCBO after Forget was seen stealing a bottle of Crown Royal whiskey from the Gravenhurst location. At the time she was already banned from the LCBO for similar offences.

Then on May 22, 2025, police were again contacted by the Gravenhurst LCBO after Forget was seen on surveillance stealing a bottle of Smirnoff vodka. Several razor blades that had been stolen from Shopper Drug Mart were also found in her possession. Forget was on probation at the time of the incident.

She was sentenced to time served in jail, noted as 28 days.

We know nothing about this lady. What is her full story- why stealing liquor again and why and how did she steal razor blades – I thought they had them all locked up. If there are addictions involved then I wonder if probation and jail time will make a difference. Will she have access to treatment and counselling?
