As a household that produces less than half a green garbage bag of waste every 2 weeks ( everything else is recycled, reused or in the organics bin) using a clear bag is massive waste. I currently purchase the smallest possible green garbage bags but they do not make clear bags as small.

With this policy I will be either wasteful by underfilling the bags or having issues by saving it until I feel it is sufficiently full.

Why not move to the bin only model they use in the city. No bags, less waste, less animal damage by ripping open bags and less risk to workers.
