Celebrate Family Day (February 16) and Heritage Week (February 16-21) with the Town of Huntsville! According to the Town, there are many things to do to appeal to a wide variety of interests.
Family Day – Monday, February 16, 2026
Canada Summit Centre:
- Lace up your skates for a FREE sponsored public skate from 10:00 am to noon, brought to you by Dr. Marc & the Algonquin Ortho Team
- Participate in a fun afternoon creating crafts together as a family! The crafts will be All About Family and working together! Register HERE.
Algonquin Theatre:
Join us at 2:00 p.m. for an out-of-this-world screening of Guardians of the Galaxy – fun for the whole family! Get your tickets HERE or at the door one hour before the show.
Heritage Week – Monday, February 16 to Friday, February 21, 2026
Muskoka Heritage Place:
- Snowshoeing at the Village: Free snowshoeing in the wintry wonderland of the Pioneer Village from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. each day. Register HERE. The Muskoka Museum will also be open to explore for free; though donations are greatly accepted!
We would also like to advise the public that Town Hall will be closed on Monday, February 16 for Family Day.

Too bad they stacked “family day” and “valentines day” on top of each other. This effectively removed one whole good rental weekend in prime season from the calendar. Thanks a lot government, great thinking.
