The inaugural season of Eclipse “Walk with Light” comes to an end this weekend.
The interactive light trail at Muskoka Heritage Place has been a massive hit with locals and tourists alike, with nearly 40,000 visitors coming to experience the attraction.
“We would like to thank the incredible partners that contributed to the trail’s success, including the Huntsville Municipal Accommodation Tax Association, the Town of Huntsville, the Huntsville Festival of the Arts, the Downtown Huntsville BIA, the Government of Ontario, and FedNor. These incredible partners came forward with generous funding and assistance that ensured the first season of Eclipse was so successful and had such a significant impact on our business community,” said Kelly Haywood, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce. “Not only were we dealing with the pandemic, but this attraction filled a huge gap in our shoulder season. As a result, we’ll definitely be doing it again, bigger and better.”
Along with generous financial contributors, Eclipse saw many entertainment and food partners that also contributed to the overall atmosphere and success of the trail, including BeaverTails Huntsville, Canvas Brewing Co., Ash Tree Yoga, Muskoka Goat Away, Twin Maple Farms, Muskoka’s Incredible Race, Find Your Wild Muskoka, and all of the talented local musicians and buskers.
Now that closing weekend is upon us, Eclipse is finishing up with a bang by hosting a music festival right on the trail. On Friday, April 1, guests will enjoy Acoustic Floyd (Muskoka’s only Pink Floyd Show) by Sean Cotton and on Saturday, April 2 will be treated to a Harvest Moon Experience: The Music of Neil Young by the Tobin Spring Band. Guests will also enjoy some fabulous local food and drink from Beavertails Huntsville, Canvas Brewing Co., Smokin’ Hot BBQ, The Banger Food Truck and The Fishbowl: Caribbean Cuisine.
