Vehicle spotted driving on pedestrian walkway, driver charged with impaired

On November 9, 2024, at 11:16 p.m., members of the Huntsville Detachment were conducting a R.I.D.E check on Main Street when they observed a vehicle driving on a pedestrian walkway in the Town of Huntsville. The driver was stopped and failed a Roadside Screening Device. The driver was taken for breath testing, which determined that they had in excess of 80mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.

Aaron CONAGHAN, aged 26, of Huntsville, Ontario, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80+.

The accused was suspended from driving for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days. The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, Ontario, on December 10, 2024.
