The long arm of the law caught up with an impaired driver in a Huntsville drive-thru line, a Bracebridge court heard recently.
Scott Caroline, 41, of Oro-Medonte, pled guilty to driving with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood in his system.
Court heard that on Sept. 5, 2022, at 9:58 p.m., police received a call about a possible impaired driver on Highway 60 in Huntsville; the witness reported a man in a pick-up truck was having trouble maintaining his lane.
The Huntsville OPP responded and caught up with the man in the drive-thru line at a Huntsville fast-food restaurant.
Police found open liquor in the vehicle and a subsequent breathalyzer test came back with readings of 238 mg of alcohol, nearly triple the legal limit.
Caroline was fined $2,000 and given a one-year driving ban.

I know the police in town have a lot to do with all the addicts and drunks etc. but please take just one day to get these morons with their noisey cars and trucks. Sounds like a speedway every day and night on King William St. PLEASE!
