It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Don Nikiforuk on Wednesday, February 18th, at the age of 82.
He is lovingly remembered by his sons Craig Nikiforuk (Crystal), Chris Nikiforuk (Jackie) and his cherished grandchildren, Isaiah Nikiforuk, Jacob Nikiforuk, Lyric Barkley, Payton Barkley & Jaydin Barkley. He is also survived by his siblings Terry Nikiforuk and Bonnie Dick (John). He is predeceased by his loving wife Nansi Nikiforuk.
Don was born on November 27, 1943, in Oshawa and lived in Niagara and Muskoka. Don spent his working life as a Metallurgist at Atlas Steel for over 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, boating and squash. Don found great joy in family, friends, community and travel.
Don was known for his sense of humour and love of family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
As per Don’s wishes, there will be no celebration of life or services. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice Huntsville or Bracebridge Humane Society would be appreciated.
