District seeking input on regional labour challenges

Are you finding it difficult to find skilled employees to fill your positions? The District of Muskoka is looking for your input.

The District, in partnership with the Town of Bracebridge, Township of Georgian Bay, Town of Gravenhurst, Town of Huntsville, Township of Lake of Bays and Township of Muskoka Lakes, is developing a Regional Workforce Strategy.

The strategy will provide a framework for addressing regional labour challenges and building the skilled workforce that Muskoka needs for the future. The project is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs’ Rural Economic Development (RED) program.

The District and its partners are looking for public, employer, and stakeholder input to make sure we understand the current workforce landscape and how best to position Muskoka for success in the future.

Please visit www.engagemuskoka.ca/workforce-development-strategy to share your experiences and ideas. All responses will be anonymous in any publication of survey results.

The survey will be available until June 30, 2023. Your input and ideas will help us create the right strategy for Muskoka and a prosperous future for residents and businesses.
