If you’re reading this, you’ll know I’m dead and gone. I will let you know where I’ve gone when I get there.
Married to my compassionate and steadfast husband, Scott. He gave me care, he gave me love and laughter, and sometimes he even gave me breakfast in bed (remember to feed the birds). “Mumsy Pumsy” to Karly Jade Madill Caterina, (Married to handsome Michael), the best daughter a mother could ever ask for. Through thick and thin.
“Dede” to the apple of my eye, granddaughter Isabelle Rosa Lee Caterina (Izzy). She brought such bright and shiny love into my life, a love and happiness I didn’t know was possible. She will have an extraordinary life. My darling Ryan, remember to be good to yourself, you are worth it!
And to my besty of bests, my beloved Carol, I’ll save the first dance for you. I love you.
To Mar, Patty, and clan, Ken, Shawn, and family, Rosa, Mike, Kayla, and family, and all my friends and relatives, know I am at peace and send love and happiness to you all. Big thank you to Dr. Small, you’ll never know the peace you brought our family.
I did it my way!

Scott and Karly,
I am SO sorry for your loss. Debbie was just the best. So incredibly
Kind hearted, and caring. As one of Karly’s closest friends it always felt so welcoming coming into your home. Always greeted by Debbie asking about how life is and chatting about family. She truly cared and was just so kind to everyone she crossed paths with. And, I think her love for animals may have been even greater. I can remember visiting over the years wondering what new animal Debbie has taken into their home to care for. The biggest surprise being her beloved pot belly pig! Her love for dogs was also unmatched, each visit meeting a new little character she cared for like she would her own. Once Izzy was born it was easy to see the joy and spark she brought to her life. Debbie, I will miss you dearly, but your bright smile, kind heart and sense of humour will live in our hearts forever. Xo
Our deepest condolences to Debbie’s family with her passing.
Oh Deb. You will be remembered. By me and many. There is something so deeply moving about a woman who could write her own farewell with such grace and love. Still looking after everyone, still making sure they felt your warmth one last time. The kind of kindness you shared in life and here stays with those who knew you.. Godspeed, Deb. A life well lived, a kind heart that cannot be measured.
My deepest condolences to Scott, Karly and the entire family. Emily and I will cherish our many years of friendship. Grateful for all your love over the years and especially for you safely delivering me to my connection to get to Emily’s wedding last September and having Karly in Paris as the makeup artist extraordinaire. Love from Marion (aka ‘Smar’) and Emily Steinbach. ❤
So sad to read this. Debi aka (Toad) and i spent public school years at Irwin Memorial in Dwight then on to H.H.S So many memories! Her Dad got our 12 year old selves tickets to go see the Beatles! Many sleepovers at her house, her Wonderful Mom Issy , being English woke u up every morning with a cup of tea in bed, mind you there was so much sugar the spoon stood up itself!
