All curbside collection scheduled for Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, including Downtown Business Area Routes, has been cancelled due to the ongoing Significant Weather Event and challenging road conditions across Muskoka.
Residents are asked to keep their waste materials inside and avoid placing them at the curb to limit interference with critical snow clearing operations. Updates on set-out limits and next week’s collection schedule will be shared as soon as available.
“This Significant Weather Event has created unique challenges for curbside collection services across Muskoka, and ensuring the safety of our community remains top priority” shares Renee Recoskie, Director of Waste Management and Environmental Services. “We appreciate our community’s patience as crews work to address the impacts of the storm.”
Additionally, due to the State of Emergency in Gravenhurst, the Beiers Transfer Station and Housey’s Rapids Depot are expected to remain closed tomorrow, Monday, Dec. 2, 2024. Updates on other waste drop-off facilities will be shared tomorrow morning.
