Crew driving fire truck from Alabama to Baysville back in Ontario

Photo from left, Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department members Shane Taylor, Paul Calleja, and Scott MacKinnon at the beginning of their trip flying out to get a fire pumper truck for Baysville in Union Grove, Alabama.

Station 4 in Baysville needed a 1999 fire pumper replaced and since fire trucks were taking a long time to be delivered and had hugely gone up in price, the Huntsville Lake of Bays Fire Department sourced a gently used fire truck in Alabama and a crew flew down to drive it back.

They left on August 28 and have been sharing photos of their adventure. They’re now back in Canada on their way to the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Station 4 in Baysville.

They’re almost home!
