One of the perks of being a Huntsville councillor is getting to congratulate the Town’s successful athletes and teams. Some of the Midget Hawks’ team members were on hand at Monday’s council meeting to receive their accolades.
“I always like to have my photo taken with amazing athletes,” said Mayor Scott Aitchison to applause at council’s Aug. 27 meeting. He invited former lacrosse players on council, Brian Thompson and Det Schumacher to participate in the photo op. “I never played lacrosse but these guys did and they were good,” said Aitchison.
