Huntsville is full of good deeds thanks to the amazing Huntsville Sting U13 Black team who WON the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup and $100,000 for their charity of choice, Food4Kids Muskoka!
The team competed in a Canada-wide contest between hockey teams of U11, U13, and U15 years of age. The team and their friends, and supporters did the most good deeds and documented them over a 6-week period (between January 19 and March 3, 2024) period.
They were officially declared champions during a Hockey Night in Canada broadcast over the weekend, after completing more than 1,300 good deeds and acts of kindness.
“It feels incredible to win, I really couldn’t be prouder of our team and community! Even though we always said it would be a win regardless of the outcome of the contest, we are all feeling extremely excited that we actually took the title and won the $ 100,000 for Food 4Kids Muskoka,” said Sarah Roberts, Team Manager, Huntsville Sting U13-Black.
Way to Go!
