Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Huntsville’s Kent Park

What better way to get into the spirit of the season than by joining the Downtown Huntsville BIA and the Rotary Club of Huntsville as well as the Huntsville Community Choir for the lighting of a large Christmas Tree at the east end of Kent Park? The ceremony takes place on November 24 at 6 p.m. That same day there will be a customer appreciation crawl where patrons will be given a chance to win a prize from one of the participating businesses.

The next day, November 25, dress warm and head to Huntsville’s main street to watch Santa Claus and all his friends light up the night with the Santa Claus Parade at 7 p.m.

The downtown Huntsville Holiday Market kicks off on Saturday, November 26, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect road closures for this event as well. Main Street will be closed from Brunel Road to Centre Street as downtown comes alive with activities for everyone including food, shopping, dancing, and singalongs. A Holiday Restaurant Crawl takes place at 5 p.m. Then the market returns on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m, including a children’s holiday shopping adventure from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus will also make special appearances downtown. To learn more about all the activities taking place, visit the Huntsville Downtown BIA here.
