The Town of Huntsville has multiple options for party venues, from small intimate gatherings right up to a bash for 300.
The Active Living Centre, in the heart of Huntsville and with beautiful views of the Muskoka River, can seat up to 200 people for dinner or you can invite up to 300 for a stand-up cocktail party. The main room’s gorgeous stone fireplace, wood beams and soft lighting give it wonderful ambiance. Add your own holiday décor to make it extra special.
The large industrial kitchen and bar area allow for your own catering and alcohol service. There’s even a built-in dance floor and optional staging for live entertainment or a DJ. Ample parking is available next to the building and across the street, and the facility is fully accessible. Rent it any day of the week, for an afternoon or an evening—whatever schedule best suits your guests.
And if you want to add in an activity to your party plans, don’t forget that the rinks and pool in the adjacent Canada Summit Centre can be rented for a skating or pool party.
The community halls in Port Sydney and Utterson are also ideal for large gatherings—Port Sydney Hall can seat up to 200 while Utterson Hall has space for 150. Both have kitchens complete with dishes for your caterer or organizer to use for meal service, and you can deck the halls however you please! These locations are a great, more central choice if your employees or volunteers are spread across Muskoka.

If your guest list doesn’t run in the hundreds, there are also smaller rooms available for holiday and birthday parties. Get your staff together for cocktails and appetizers with the caterer of your choice. For the kids, join the public skate or swim times and follow that with cake and presents in a nearby room. Or if you want the rink or the pool all to yourself, full rental options are available.
And don’t forget that all of these venues are available year-round, making them the perfect locations for weddings in any season and other events like conferences, reunions, anniversary parties or celebrations of life.
