Now is your chance to own this beautiful Swift Prospector 16 canoe. It’s being raffled in support of the Dorset Health Hub and the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.
The canoe was donated by Oxtongue Lake for Arts & Culture, Algonquin Outfitters, and Swift Canoe & Kayak.
The canoe is valued at $4,695 and raffle tickets can be purchased for $25. There are only 500 tickets available. Volunteers will be selling tickets in the community but you can also purchase tickets at the Huntsville Hospital Foundation office or from Algonquin Outfitters at both its downtown Huntsville and Oxtongue Lake locations. Tickets are also available at the Lake of Bays Marine Museum in Dorset, where the canoe will be on display for a few weeks.
The draw will take place at the Algonquin Theatre on Saturday, September 24 during Tom Thomson’s Wake intermission.
