This photo of a school bus taking a very wide turn at the intersection of Brunel Road and Main Street in Huntsville was taken on Nov. 25, 1981.
The intersection was rebuilt and widened as part of the Diggin’ Downtown revitalization project in 2021, including the installation of new traffic signals, updated sidewalks, streetscape elements, and changes to the road layout that improved vehicle movement through the junction.
