Volunteers Needed …
The very popular Band on the Run is quickly approaching and Race Directors are making a final call for dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers. Volunteers are needed for many crucial spots along the running route and music festival portion, which will take place Saturday June 10. To see what volunteer opportunities are still available and to sign up click here.
Each year Band on the Run grows. This year the event is attracting more than 2500 participants to the Muskoka Area.
Organizers say that for past five years Band on the Run has had amazing success and has become a well-known Muskoka event. This success is attributed to the help of each and every community member who encourages the runners along the route. Race Directors are still looking for people who would be interested in generously donating their time and energy for the first time, or as a past supporter to ensure that this is another fabulous event in Huntsville.
Road Closures
Races will begin at 8 am and continue until noon that day. Areas of Huntsville will have a full road closure, which will be restricted for all vehicles. Signs have been displayed along the route to outline when specific roads will be closed. Please plan this into your Saturday morning. Click here for road closure and race route information.
