The Township of Lake of Bays is pleased to announce the official opening of the Babb Family Splash Pad at the Lake of Bays Community Centre & Arena in Baysville, marked by a ribbon‑cutting ceremony on Saturday, June 20 at 1:00 p.m.
In the days leading up to the opening, residents may notice the splash pad operating periodically. This activity is part of required system testing, staff training, programming, and balancing to ensure all pumps, return systems, and safety controls are functioning properly.
Immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the splash pad will be fully open and available for public use, just in time for summer fun.
The opening celebration will include free refreshments and hot dogs, while supplies last. All are welcome.
The Babb Family Splash Pad was made possible in part through the generosity of the family of Hager and Edna Babb, in recognition of the importance this community held in their lives.
Residents are encouraged to join the Township on June 20 to celebrate this long‑anticipated community amenity.
