It’s a sound no driver ever wants to hear. Crunch.
But with the arrival of winter conditions comes the increased possibility for fender-benders and collisions with stationary objects.
No matter the circumstances, it’s a stressful experience. At Autosave Collision, they aim to take away as much of that stress as possible.
“People don’t deal with this every day,” says owner Mike Repath. “When you get into a collision, who do you even call? We help people with the whole collision claim process, from dealing with towing and rental agencies to liaising with your insurance company and advocating on your behalf.”
You may remember back when Autosave Collision was on Lindgren Road and was owned by Frank Vellenga. “He did a great job. It was a small shop that he kept neat and tidy as a pin,” says Mike, who has 25 years of experience in the industry, including as general manager of a large collision repair facility. But he had long had a desire to buy a facility of his own.

It was the Vellengas’ reputation that prompted Mike to offer to purchase Autosave Collision back in 2010, and he kept asking even after the company changed both hands and location—it had moved to Old Ferguson Road under the ownership of Ginger and Martin Barkey at MBRP. Mike’s persistence paid off. In September 2017 he became the new owner. “I didn’t buy this company on a whim. I targeted it for its good reputation.”
It’s a reputation Mike and his team have worked hard to uphold, and their customer reviews reflect that effort.
There are multiple five-star reviews on Google with comments that sing the company’s praises. These are some of the most recent ones:
“I have taken two vehicles in to Mike at Autosave in Huntsville. Both times I was super pleased with the result. Dings and dents gone and undetectable paint repairs.”

“In the late spring we hit a deer in Michigan with a third car and Mike…quickly and efficiently managed insurance companies, quotations, pick-up and delivery. It was all so effortless that the pain of hitting a deer seemed to melt away. Mike and his staff are so committed to their craft and their business, and make the customer feel that they are at the centre of attention. Huntsville is really (lucky) to have such a modern, friendly, and professional business. It’s so good that I recommend to my Toronto friends that they take their cars North!”
“My car was involved in a hit and run while parked overnight near my apartment. It caused a huge dent in my driverside door and made it so that I could not lower my window fully. Mike and Jason helped me out with such courteous professionalism and kindness. Jason went above and beyond, ensuring that my driving experience would be the best possible in such a timely fashion. I would highly recommend Mike and his team without hesitation, and will always choose their services when the need arises.”

Mike notes that Autosave is the largest collision facility in Muskoka, and hopes that people will choose them for their vehicle repair needs.
“Insurance companies may try to push you to their preferred shop but you aren’t required to go there—by law it’s your choice,” says Mike. “I always advise people, if you have time then go and get an estimate and if you don’t like what you see, please come here. You’ll love our service, you’ll love your whole experience here.”
