Alzheimer Society of Muskoka launches new Adult Day Program

The Alzheimer Society of Muskoka is pleased to announce the launch of its new Adult Day Program, created to support individuals living with early to mid-stage dementia while providing meaningful daytime respite for caregivers and families across the Muskoka region.

Beginning June 1, 2026, the program will offer structured and engaging daytime support in a safe, welcoming environment at 98 Pine St. in Bracebridge. Participants may attend either Mondays or Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during an eight-week session.

The Adult Day Program is thoughtfully designed to provide a balance of routine, stimulation, and social connection. Each day will include a variety of cognitive, physical, and recreational activities aimed at encouraging engagement, familiarity, confidence, and overall well-being. Nutritious lunches and snacks will also be provided during each program day.

“Our goal is to create a supportive and enriching environment where individuals living with dementia can remain socially connected and actively engaged, while caregivers receive valuable time to rest, work, or attend to personal responsibilities,” representatives from the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka said.

The program reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life for people living with dementia and the families who support them throughout Muskoka.

Spaces are limited, and advance registration is encouraged.
