MEDIA RELEASE
Looking to start your own business? Feeling stuck? Interested in being inspired and creating a plan for moving forward?
For the past fifteen years, YWCA Muskoka has been providing life skills and business/employment skills training programs called Business of Life and Women in Business respectively. We are pleased to be offering them once again for the Fall and Winter sessions. Guest presentations from local successful entrepreneurs and professionals provide participants with a wide range of viewpoints and expertise and help participants establish contacts within their own community.
“I would highly recommend this to any woman who needs that extra push to take your life or work to the next level.” Joanne Williams owner of Zcizzorz Hair Salon Bracebridge – participant in 2013/14 programs
Business of Life explores the skills necessary to manage life transitions through the exploration of values, strengths, effective communication, healthy relationships and enhancing personal networks. The course runs September 26-December 12 in Bracebridge and January 9-March 27, 2017 in Huntsville.
Women in Business will focus on the broad range of skills necessary for harnessing entrepreneurial opportunities. Explore ideas, get the tools and learn how to launch. It is also a great course for those considering their own business venture. The course runs September 26-December 12 in Huntsville and January 9-March 27, 2017 in Bracebridge.
In person sessions are being offered in Bracebridge and Huntsville from 6-9 pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings.

YWCA Muskoka champions positive change for women and girls. The organization focusses on preventing violence; reducing the impact of poverty; making women’s issues more visible; connecting with senior women; and enhancing organizational capacity. We do this through building bridges of connection in Muskoka.
