Winter operations and parking restrictions in Huntsville in effect November 1

Starting November 1, overnight side street parking (from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.) is prohibited in Huntsville.

These regulations are in effect from November 1 to April 15 and are not weather-dependent. Even if there is no snow, it is essential for the roads to remain clear as the weather can be unpredictable in our region. Vehicles parked on side streets could be towed.

Please follow the posted signage on the side streets with regard to parking regulations. There are small stretches of Mary Street East and Minerva Street West where there is no winter parking – even during the day. This is to accommodate snow storage.

Residents may notice sidewalk plowing machines out and practicing their routes ahead of the winter weather. The Town staff who drive the road plows are also out checking their route for clearances and marking hazards. Any potential issues are marked with stakes and spray paint. This activity helps ensure greater efficiency throughout the winter and during significant weather events.
