Hutcheson beachgoers will have access to a special treat this summer.
Grace Willows of Windmill Bakery & Bistro appeared before Huntsville Council on May 27 to ask for permission to place a refreshment vehicle at the Port Sydney and Hutcheson beaches.
Following her deputation, councillors discussed her request. Some members of council expressed concern with the refreshment vehicle competing with year-round businesses in Port Sydney.
In the end, council agreed to approve the refreshment vehicle for the Hutcheson Beach location, noting that there are no nearby businesses. The council referred to the approval as a pilot and asked staff to develop a policy for such vehicles on public lands, which will be reviewed by council before the summer of 2025.

About time they brought back the availability to buy food at the beach When I first moved to Huntsville they had a great food shack there
I don’t know about glass and needles in the water I just they would
enforce the “NO DOGS” on the beach rule.
How about the ice chest packed with beer and wine?
It’s a family beach. Lets keep it that way.
Im wondering if they could possibly clear out the stones and make it back to sand beach? Oh and ive heard rumours of glass and needles in the water has anyone maade sure its clean. I love the idea of being able to get drinks and food there.
Good news!
