Where the candidates will be on election night

It’s been a long road for federal candidates leading up to Election Day on October 19. They’ve been busy knocking on doors, attending events and attempting to sway the undecided before voters head to the polls on Monday. Volunteers for the various political parties have also been busy strategizing who will be at what polling station to watch the counts come in and organizing the venues where the party-faithful will await results.

Here’s where the candidates will be on Monday night as they usher in the election results:

PC – Tony Clement will be at the Kirrie Glen golf course on Hwy 118 in Bracebridge.

Liberal – Trisha Cowie will be at the Riverside Inn in Bracebridge.

Greens – Glen Hodgson will be at the Old Station Restaurant in Bracebridge.

NDP – Matt McCarthy will be at Nick’s Restaurant in Bracebridge.

Canadian Action Party – Gordie Merton will be at his home in Gravenhurst

Marxist-Leninist Party– Albert G. Smith will be watching the results from outside of the riding.

Doppler will be at the various election camps on Monday night. Check us out here and on Facebook and Twitter and don’t forget to vote! Polling stations open at 9:30 a.m. and close to the public at 9:30 p.m.

I remember being at the Liberal office in Huntsville and who should come in but Andy Mitchell. It was his first election. He had spent the entire day, after voting, visiting EVERY Liberal campaign office in this huge riding so he could personally thank the volunteers who worked for him. He ended up somewhere up north late at night. Very impressive.
