Walk for murdered and missing indigenous women and girls this Sunday

A memorial walk will take place this weekend, led by Hope Arises (a not-for-profit organization aimed at educating people about Indigenous ways) to remember the thousands of murdered Indigenous women and girls in this country.

The one-mile remembrance walk will take place at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the Huntsville Legion parking lot at 8:45 a.m.

Organizers are asking you to wear red or carry a red dress to remember.

The walk will take place rain or shine.
