On January 22, 2026, at 8:59 a.m., Huntsville OPP officers were notified of a vehicle partially stuck in a snowbank at an address on King William Street in Huntsville.
Muskoka EMS and Huntsville officers arrived on scene and determined the two occupants of the vehicle to be medically fine. However, It became apparent to officers the male driver was impaired.
As a result of the investigation, Adam BROWN, 46 years old of Huntsville, Ontario, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Possession of schedule 1 substance
- Possession of schedule III substance
- Drive motor vehicle with Liqour readily available
Also charged in this investigation is the vehicle passenger,
Tracy O’NEIL, 45 years old of Bracebridge Ontario;
- Possession of Schedule III substance
Both of the accused were released and are to appear in March 2026 before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Ontario.
The driver was also issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
– DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE –
This event could have easily been avoided had the driver planned ahead before consuming alcohol or drugs.
Don’t include alcohol or drugs in any plans to drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another option that takes driving out of the picture altogether.
