UPDATE: Charges laid in Sunday’s firearm incident

MEDIA RELEASE

Just before 1:00pm on Sunday August 21, 2016 Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment members were made aware that an injured male had been transported to a local area hospital with injuries involving a firearm. The male suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Huntsville OPP learned that an altercation had taken place at an apartment building on Main St. W. in the town of Huntsville that resulted in the male being injured.

Kyle BALL (29 years) of Huntsville, Ontario has since been charged with several Criminal Code offences including:

  • Pointing a Firearm
  • Uttering threats
  • Possession of a Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order X2
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • Careless Use of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Use
  • Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – other Drugs

He was held for a bail hearing on August 22, 2016.
