On Wednesday, December 8, the Huntsville Sting U11 girls hockey team will face off against the OPP for a good cause.
The charity game is a fundraiser for United Way Simcoe Muskoka, organized by the OPP and the Huntsville Girls Hockey Association.
Santa will be in attendance, and Nathalie Rivard, a former member of the Canadian women’s national hockey team and three-time world champion, will be motivating the kids before the game as well as playing for the OPP.
The puck drops at 5:30 p.m. at the Don Lough.
Admission is $5 and there will be a post-game BBQ donated by the Rotary Club of Huntsville. All proceeds support United Way of Simcoe Muskoka.
