A G2 driver has been fined and banned from driving following an impaired driving conviction stemming from a traffic complaint near Baysville.
Jaeli Kilmer, 23, appeared recently in a Bracebridge court room to plead guilty to driving with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
Court heard that on July 11, 2025, at approximately 7:55 p.m., police responded to a traffic complaint on Brunel Road reporting a vehicle that was swerving. Officers located and stopped the vehicle and immediately detected the smell of alcohol.
The driver, who was operating under a G2 licence, was found to have multiple empty Twisted Tea cans in the back seat. A breath test later revealed a blood-alcohol concentration of 163 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood — more than twice the legal limit.
The driver was fined $2,000 and received a 12-month driving prohibition.
