Township of Lake of Bays updates camping and trailer bylaw

At its May 14 meeting, the Township of Lake of Bays passed an updated Trailer and Camping bylaw, directing staff not to regulate the use of trailers and camping on Crown land. Enforcement will be left up to the Province.

The bylaw also gives staff the authority to enforce the use of trailers and camping on developed residential lands in the township for a period of not more than 14 consecutive days and no more than 21 days in a calendar year.

The bylaw also states that all trailers must conform to the required setback in their property zone. Below is a schedule of fines for non-compliance.
