At its December 9, 2025, meeting, Lake of Bays Council adopted a revised fees and charges bylaw, impacting various departments.
The revised bylaw was recommended by municipal staff following an annual review that began on November 24, 2025, and was publicized in accordance with the Township’s notice policy.
The changes to the bylaw include a 3 per cent processing fee for credit card payments. The fee is included in the bylaw to remain accountable and transparent, noted staff in a report to council.
Departments impacted by changes to fees and charges include Administration, Fire Department, Recreation Department, and the Planning Services Department.
Lake of Bays Mayor Terry Glover said it is good that the fees were being reviewed and added that the fees and charges keep community centres running.
