Ontario’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport announced today that Huntsville will play host to the 2019 Ontario 55+ Winter Games. It is the only major provincial winter sporting event in Ontario for the 55+ age demographic. Huntsville last hosted these games in 2013.

We have a rich history of hosting successful events in the Town of Huntsville and are very proud of our accomplishments. We look forward to working with the province, provincial sport organizations and our amazing local volunteers to make the 2019 Ontario 55+ Winter Games the best ever!

The province is investing $235,000 for the 2019 Ontario 55+ Games. The event is expected to bring more than 1,000 participants to the area with an anticipated economic impact of $2 million.
