Please be advised of the following inclement weather information for the Town of Huntsville for December 14, 2016 as of 12:00pm.
Town Hall – Town Hall municipal services are continuing as normal. Town Hall is open until 4:30pm today.
Canada Summit Centre and Active Living Centre – All sports, recreational programming and rentals at the Canada Summit Centre and the Active Living Centre are cancelled. The facility will remain open until 4:30pm. The facility is CLOSED this evening.
Muskoka Heritage Place – Effective immediately – Muskoka Heritage Place and Muskoka Museum are closed for the day.
Algonquin Theatre – Tonight’s 7:30pm performance of Next Generation Leahy at the Algonquin Theatre is going ahead as scheduled.
Huntsville Public Library – The Library will be closing today at 4:30pm.
Huntsville Transit – Please be advised that Huntsville Transit has been cancelled for the remainder of today due to inclement weather, December 14, 2016 as of 2:45pm. Non-essential travel is NOT recommended. You are encouraged to stay off the roads, stay home and be safe.
Snow Clearing
Snow plow drivers have been out since 4:00am clearing 400km of area roads. “Please be patient,” said Road Foreman Ross Fisher. “If we have not serviced your road yet, we will as soon as possible.”
Please do not park on Town roads, so that snowplows can do their work unimpeded.
Non-essential travel is NOT recommended. You are encouraged to stay off the roads, stay home and be safe.
