Effective Tuesday March 17 at noon, the Town of Huntsville will close Town Hall to the public until April 6 to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Town services will continue to be offered online through municipal email addresses or at huntsville.ca and over the phone where possible. Should in-person visits be required, please contact the appropriate department. - Property Tax & Finance – 705 789-1751 opt. 2 [Note: Property taxes are still due March 31. Tax bills can be paid via the drop box next to the High Street entrance to Town Hall (the drop box will be checked daily as staff will still be in the building), and you can still pay online through your bank or by mail. The deadline has not been deferred.]
- Planning Department – 705 789-1751 opt. 3
- Building Department – 705 789-1751 opt. 4

Facility closures are a precautionary measure to help slow the spread and flatten the curve of the global pandemic known as COVID-19. Regular handwashing, avoiding non-essential travel, avoiding large gatherings and practicing social distancing are the best defense against spreading illnesses, including COVID-19. The District of Muskoka also announced that, effective March 17, all District facilities will be closed to public access including the District office at 70 Pine St. in Bracebridge and the Community Services Hubs in Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville. Essential services including paramedic services, long-term care, water and wastewater, waste management and road operations will continue to operate as usual. Social housing facilities will continue to be maintained and other housing supports, social assistance and emergency assistance programs will also continue to be provided by phone, online or by email.
