Hoot 2019
Tina Turley, right, presents the proceeds from the 13th annual HOOT to Sue Hummel representing Muskoka Animal Rescue.

This year’s HOOT proceeds go to Muskoka Animal Rescue

Despite the rain, the 13th annual Family Traditions HOOT was a great success.

HOOT (Helping Out our Town) was founded in 2007 by local singer/songwriter Tina Turley.

The day-long, fun-filled, family-friendly event features non-stop music covering all genres from rock and roll to country to bluegrass, There is a playground area set up for the kids, a silent auction, and a horseshoe tournament.

All items for the silent auction are donated from various businesses and people in the area. The net proceeds are donated to a local charity. This year the charity of choice was Muskoka Animal Rescue.

Watch the HOOT Facebook page for the June 2020 date.
