Arrowhead Provincial Park’s uber-popular Ice Trail will be back for another season thanks to the hard work of park staff. The trail’s planned opening has been set back thanks to above-zero temperatures; staff will post an update on the trail’s planned opening soon.
Fire and Ice Nights will be back as well for an even more unique twist on this fun attraction. (Did you know that the trail was featured on a U.S. morning show last season? Read about it here: Arrowhead skating trail gets international recognition including LIVE! With Kelly and Michael.)
With popularity comes crowds, though. On weekends the trail is generally filled to capacity and some people could be turned away. If your schedule permits, consider visiting outside of peak times (weekend days from 10-4 and Saturday nights).
The park’s daily hours of operation are:
- December & January: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- February: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
- March: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Ice trail hours:
- Daily, weather permitting (see below for contact information to confirm): 11:00 am — park closes. On Fire and Ice nights, the skate trail is closed for maintenance from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
