The Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame is celebrating their 35th year of honouring sporting legends and stars in our community. This year’s induction celebration will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
New this year is a change of venue; these ceremonies will be held at The Algonquin Theatre, starting at 7 pm. Tickets are available online through the theatre’s website here: www.algonquin theatre.ca. Tickets are $25 each.

Mary Spring – Nordic Skiing (Jack Rabbit Programme)
The Forester (1877-2005 The Rice Family Years) – continued excellence in sports coverage and promotion of sport & recreation in the community
Bob Litchfield- Sports Medicine
Ed Seagram/Bill Waterhouse – Hidden Valley Ski Resort Development
TEAM:
1964-69 Ladies Double Badminton Team – Brenda Hoffman-Walker and Cheryl McKenzie-Clarke
Additionally, we will be honouring our annual individual award winners, with the Jan Glenn, The Mike Greaves, and The Peter Jacob awards.
This year’s recipients are:
The U-11 Huntsville Sting Girls Hockey Team – finalists in the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup – (The Jan Glenn trophy)
Tyler Gevaert – Paddler/Kyaker – Provincial, National and Olympic hopeful – (The Mike Greaves trophy)
Peter Haynes – The driving force behind The Muskoka Hornets Baseball organization- (The Peter Jacob trophy)
