Signs placed by anonymous residents thank hospital staff, grocery workers | Video

Hospital staff and grocery workers got a little bit of unexpected love when they arrived at work this morning.

Some local residents placed digital signs outside Huntsville Hospital and Bullock’s Independent to thank them for all of their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The signs each rotate through three screens and read:

THANK-YOU HOSPITAL STAFF
WE APPLAUD YOU
WASH YOUR HANDS HUNTSVILLE

and

THANK YOU BULLOCKS STAFF
YOU ROCK! FIST PUMP
LOVE THE SOUTH SIDE

‘The south side’ is an inside joke reference for the Bullocks.

The people behind the signs want to remain anonymous, saying they didn’t do it for the attention.

But one said they “felt this was important to show how we care about what they are doing for us at this time of unknown.”

Thanks to the wonderful people in our town and all the organizations that have reached out to help others, and make sure we seniors are doing ok. We are so lucky to live in Huntsville.
THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO ARE OUT THERE, WHILE WE STAY SAFE AT HOME.
