In preparation for the changing weather, the Town of Huntsville is advising the community of seasonal closures of our parks and trails. The Town parks and trails are not maintained in the winter months, and residents will see changes to the amenities over the coming weeks.
All courts and sports fields closed on Nov. 3. When Huntsville receives its first snow, the following operational changes will occur:
- The Hunter’s Bay Trail extension along Highway 11 will close.
- The gates at Lions Lookout will close.
- Porta potties and garbage cans at parks and trail heads will be removed.
